Restorative Yoga for Breast Cancer Recovery: Gentle Flowing Yoga for Breast Health, Breast Cancer Related Fatigue & Lymphedema Management

Part 1 of our Oncology Yoga Teacher Training certifies you to teach, while Part 2 offers a deeper dive into postures, sequencing, and specialized techniques for the lymphatic system and anatomy. Completing both parts enhances your expertise, enables you to offer more to your students, and takes your practice and teaching to the next level!

Restorative Yoga for Breast Cancer Recovery is a restorative yoga therapy practice for breast health, lymphedema management and breast cancer recovery. This system of Yoga utilizes wide variety of restorative yoga poses supported by a variety of yoga props.

Awareness of the breath is integralto assist the mind as well as the muscles to “let go” and relax, allowing the healing process to begin. Restorative Yoga Flow poses are done in a relaxed, reclining, seated, twisting and standing positions.

Restorative Yoga for Breast Cancer Recovery is a great beginning for building a practice to regain strength and flexibility, as well as aiding in lymphedema management. This Yoga Teacher Training and practice outlines a variety of easy to learn restorative yoga poses which can emotionally and physically improve the recovery process from breast cancer surgeries, radiation and chemotherapy treatments. This practice is also invaluable in maintaining breast health and reducing cancer related fatigue (CRF).

Who Is This For?

This Teacher Training is appropriate for Certified Yoga teachers, massage therapists, physical therapists, and breast cancer warriors. It is open to anyone who has the desire to learn a safe and effective practice to share with those dealing with breast cancer and the variety of treatments that go along with recovery.

When Will We Meet?

  • PART 1 DAYS/TIMES:
    Friday, May 16th: 6:30 PM - 9:00 PM
    Saturday, May 17th: 11:00 AM - 6:30 PM
    Sunday, May 18th: 1:30 PM - 6:30 PM
  • PART 2 DAYS/TIMES:
    Friday, July 18th: 6:30 PM - 9:00 PM
    Saturday, July 19th: 11:00 AM - 6:30 PM
    Sunday, July 20th: 1:30 PM - 6:30 PM
  • Each part consists of 15 contact hours, 8 non-contact hours (homework: reading assignments, writing assignments and class presentation preparation), for a total of 43 training hours for both weekends. Approved by Yoga Alliance for Continuing Education credit for RYTs. Part 1 certifies you to teach, while Part 2 offers a deeper dive into postures, sequencing, and specialized techniques for the lymphatic system and anatomy. Completing both parts enhances your expertise, enables you to offer more to your students, and takes your practice and teaching to the next level.
